Easter Cut-Out Cookies



These Easter Cut-Out Cookies are a festive treat for the holidays. They're ideal for festive gatherings and sharing with loved ones, thanks to their vibrant colors and creative designs.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring various colors
  • Icing sugar for decorating

Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt

In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined

Divide the dough into several portions and color each portion with desired food coloring

Wrap each colored dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

Roll out each colored dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness

Use Easter-themed cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Once the cookies are completely cool, decorate them with icing sugar using various colors and designs
