Turkey Burger with Sun-dried Tomatoes and Goat Cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and any desired toppings for serving
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper
Mix until well combined
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat
Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice sear
While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned
Once the burgers are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a minute
Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun and adding lettuce, tomato, and any desired toppings
